LOS ANGELES -- February 19, 2014 -- Bringing a unique style of storytelling to both Web and TV audiences, global production company CORE Media Group and women’s lifestyle leader POPSUGAR are teaming for the development and distribution of scripted and non-scripted projects.

Content jointly produced will be targeted toward POPSUGAR’s core demographic of women between the ages of 18-40 and will be intended for distribution on all screens, including broadcast, cable and online (including POPSUGAR.com).

CORE Media Group, with its in-house network of award-winning producers and talent, and with programming deals set up at more than 30 television networks, will manage television joint projects. POPSUGAR, a leader in women’s online media, video and technology, and with extensive online reach, will manage online joint projects.

“CORE Media Group and POPSUGAR are experts in their respective fields,” said Jen O’Connell, Head of U.S. Television for CORE Media Group. “With strong, combined ties to both the traditional and online entertainment communities, this collaboration makes sense on every level.”

O’Connell and her team will work with POPSUGAR to create content specifically for POPSUGAR while opening up all of its content to television platforms and developing shows that can launch on POPSUGAR properties before migrating to television.

“As we continue our rapid growth in video, we want to partner with the best production talent in the business, and CORE Media Group is high on our list,” said David Grant, President of POPSUGAR Studios. “They have it all -- forward-thinking execs, solid network relationships and an impressive portfolio of producers and talent.”

CORE Media Group’s Halfire-CORE Entertainment recently teamed with A&E and Mark Wahlberg for a remake of “Highway to Heaven.”  In January, POPSUGAR announced a partnership with TV Guide Network for a half-hour daily entertainment news show titled “POPSUGAR Now.”
